段落功能与意义的再现（5）

Jiande County boasts of the three Linqi Caves and the Thousand-Islet Lake at the source of the Xin'anjiang River.

　　原文段落包含总分结构，先分别描述西湖周围的旅游资源，后提出段落主题“形成一个以西湖为中心的广阔旅游区”。译文却将原为结尾部分提前，将“The beauty spots in the seven nearby counties form a vast area for tourists with West Lake at its center”置于段落开头，也就是把先分提、后总结的典型的汉语段落结构改成符合英文行文习惯的先总起、后分说的段落结构，突出主题句，使读者对段落的信息内容一目了然，从而取得与原文信息功能相似的效果。
