　　很多专家认为，除了市政府需要拨出一定的资金进行抢修之外，还需要更新保护观念和改进修缮技术。北京市文物古迹保护委员会委员、北京市古代建筑研究所首席研究员王世荣指出，总的观念、理念就是“保护第一”，抢修是保护里最不得已的办法，对文物古迹越少干预越好，因为“修一次，就要改变一次原状”。他列举了自己的老师、著名建筑学家梁思成的一句名言，保护古建筑，“要让它延年益寿，不要返老还童”。

Wang cited his teacher Liang Sicheng, a famous architect, as saying that protection of ancient structures "should be aimed at prolonging their existence, not at making them new".
