First, an update from Baltimore, Maryland. The city`s mayor is asking the U.S. Department of Justice to get involved and conduct the civil rights investigation in the Baltimore`s police department. The U.S. government says it`s considering the request.

It was made after six policies were charged in the death of 25-year- old Freddie Gray. He was fatally injured while in police custody last month. Peaceful protests and riots followed.
