　　某人提及某事，但我们无法表示明确的意见时，则使用本句。 原句意指“我 (对那件事) 不知情。”，引申为“我 (对那件事) 不确定或不敢肯定地说”。

　　A：I don’t think the manager will get mad at you for being late.

　　甲：我想经理不会因为你迟到就发怒了。

　　B：I dont’know about that.

　　乙：我可不敢这么说。

　　I'm not sure (about that).

　　我可不敢这么确定。

　　I wouldn't be so sure.

　　我可不敢如此确定。

　　上列对话中，“I don't think + that 子句”表示“我认为……不……”。 注意 that 从句中必须用肯定语气。

　　I don't think John can do it.

　　(我认为约翰无法做那件事。)

　　不要说：I think John cannot do it.

　　另外，“get/be mad at +人”表示“对某人感到生气愤怒”，但“be mad about +人或事”则表示“对某人或某事狂热喜欢”，相当于“be crazy about +人或事”的句型。

　　John is mad about Mary.

　　(约翰好喜欢玛丽。)
