　　1. 解词释义

　　老美喜爱比赛，很有竞争意识。当他们大败对方时，他们会欢呼雀跃，兴奋不已。 ahead of game的字面意思是“在比赛中领先”，引申为“领先，居于优势”“处于有利地位，由于赢家地位”。在其后加上介词by，即为：ahead of game，表示“通过做某事而领先与他人，居于优势”, game在这里表示“竞争”。ahead ofthe game之前可以用不同的动词，比如to stay ahead of the game，或者是to keep someoneahead of the game，get ahead of the game。
