上千万枚“猴币”一宿抢光

Commemorative Year of the Monkey coins was issued in Beijing on Jan 16, 2016. The commemorative coins have a 27 millimeters diameter and a denomination of 10 yuan.

2016年1月16日，北京预约兑换“猴币”。“猴币”直径27毫米，面值10元。

2016年贺岁普通纪念币，是央行在今年发行的一款纪念币，面额(denomination) 10元。因为今年是农历猴年，也被称为“猴币”(Commemorative Year of the Monkey coin)。尽管今年的“猴币”比往年贺岁纪念币发行量略大，但也阻挡不了百姓“抢鲜”的热情。不少市民一大早就在银行门外排队，兑换(to exchange)“猴币”。

Commemorative coins就是我们平时所说的“纪念币”，比如抗战胜利70周年，央行就发行过一套“纪念币”(a set of commemorative coins);为了纪念小王子的生日，英国皇家铸币局还曾发行面值5英镑的限量版纯银硬币(a limited edition sterling silver £5 coin)。为迎接猴年新春，中国邮政近日还发行了“丙申年”特种邮票(the "Bingshen Year" special stamps)。
