　　Dessert是一种甜点，而the desert是指的是又热又干的沙漠。

　　Accept & Except

　　Accept意思是接受或是同意某事物，而except则恰恰相反，指的是排除的意思。

　　前一个单词是地点副词而后者是物主代词。例如Their house is over there.
