After the founding of People's Republic of China, literature began to boom. Works from Soviet Union then and western countries exerted a profound influence on the Chinese literature. After the Reform and Opening up in 1978, Chinese literature won a new prosperity with sino-foreign cultural exchanges flourishing as never before.
