　　当前，城镇化(urbanization)的全球趋势以及世界人口稳步增长的趋势已经持续了很长时间。对于发达国家来说，没有迹象能表明城镇化会导致人口增长 (population growth)。但在发展中国家，城镇化和人口增长则紧密相关。城镇化对中国有某种积极的影响。随着越来越多的人集中在城市寻找工作或商业机会，工业也随着大量劳动力而繁荣起来。
