Ann: Look, there was a woman on France who worn a veil on the street fined 22 Euro.

看，在法国，一个女人因为上街戴面纱被罚款22欧元。

Lily: How come?

怎么会?

Ann: It’s because France makes a law that women couldn’t wear veil when they are in the public place.

是因为法国立法，妇女在公共场合不可以戴面纱。

Lily: Why? I think that European countries have policy of freedom of religion.

为什么?我认为欧洲国家应该是有宗教自由的政策啊。

Ann: So do I.

Lily: But how do the Muslim people lead a normal life in France?

Ann: I am not quite sure. Maybe they have to give up their religious belief or move out of France.

Lily: I think that French government should think over it cautiously . Wearing a veil is the identity of Muslim women. How could they give up their religious belief?

我想法国政府应该慎重考虑下，戴面纱是穆斯林身份的象征啊，他们怎么能放弃他们的宗教信仰呢?

Ann: I agree. But the president, Nicolas Sarkozy, is the one who proposed this bill.

Lily: Maybe he has his reason,but who knows.
