Tom: Fine,thanks. May I treat you to dinner?

Ann: I am afraid I cann’t,maybe some other time.

Tom: Is there any urgency?

有什么急事吗?

Ann: Yes,I have to go to the hospital right now.

Tom: What happened?

Ann: My mother is being operated on.

我母亲正在手术中。

Tom: Is that serious?

严重吗?

Ann: If the operation is successful,she must be OK.

如果手术成功的话，她就脱离危险了。
