M: Cherry, you look fresh. It seems that you've lost weight.

C: Really? I'm so glad to hear that.

M: I tried losing weight. but nothing worked. How did you make it?

C: I've been doing yoga for 2 months.

M: How is it?

C: Marvelous! It's fun! And I especially enjoy the headstands and handstands.

M: it cannot be an easy thing, right?

C: Sure, the first few classes were tough, but I stuck with it.

M: You must be used to it now.

C: Yeah. Now I do it every day. Yoga is beneficial to physical heath, as well as to mental health.

M: I wonder whether it will be too difficult for a beginner like me?

C: Don't worry. Just begin with the beginners class.

M: That's great. I will have a try.

3.I've 是 I have 的口语说法。口语中常把两个词合并为一个词的发音，即缩音现象。

4.口语中，do 的/ʊ/与 it 的/ɪ/连读，中音加辅助音/w/，且词尾/t/消音，连读为/dʊwɪ/。

5.口语中语速很快时，to/tu:/常弱化为/tə/或/tʊ/。

虚词to的弱读式与强读式

在英语中，单音节虚词有弱读式和强读式两种发音方式。弱读式(weak form)是较轻的发音，强读式(strong form)是较重的发音。作为一种结构词，虚词大多弱读。但有时为了强调和对比也会采取强读形式。 to强读为/tu:/，弱读为/tʊ/或/tə/。如：

Yoga is beneficial to/tə/ physical heath, as well as to mental health.

瑜伽对身体和精神健康都有好处。

They stand back to/tə/ back.

他们背对背站着。

He is walking to/tu:/and fro in the room.
