Good afternoon，everyone！

It's a great honor to stand on this stage for the election of President of English Lovers' Club．My name is Zhang Hua．I believe that opportunities only favor those who get fully prepared，and to my belief，I'm quite competent．

My first advantage is the excellent performance in study．Chinese，maths and English have always been my strong subjects．And I am especially good at English．Last term，I was honored to be awarded the first prize in the English contest．My excellent school work is a solid proof of my learning ability．Although I am called “an eager beaver” in my study，I am not a book-worm at all．In my opinion，activities carry as much weight as study．In my spare time，I have a variety of interests．I am crazy about NBA and enjoy a wide range of music．And after school，I often join our classmates in playing basketball or soccer．I am always the core member of the team．Besides，I have been playing the Chinese violin for nearly eight years and have won lots of awards in different kinds of competitions．My strong sense of team spirit and various interests may bring the club more vitality．Furthermore，I am always regarded as a warm-hearted and just person．That's why I am quite popular among my fellow classmates．They like to turn to me for help when in trouble，and of course，in most cases，I can help them within my power．

All in all，I believe I have the qualities required to be a leader of the club．I'm the right person for this position．Please vote for me．Thank you．
