越……越……

[句型解析]
“The more...the more...”是“越……越……”。“more and more”则不同，后者是“越来越……”之意。比较以下两句：
1. I became more and more annoyed by his behavior.
(他的行为让我越来越恼火。)
2. The more annoyed I became, the happier he was.
(我越恼火, 他越高兴。)
