徐灿，字湘蘋，又字明霞、明深，江苏吴县（今苏州市吴中区、相城区）人。陈之遴继配。幼颖悟，通书史。陈之遴两次流徙，均曾随行。康熙十年（1671），奉旨归之遴之骨。晚年学佛，更号紫?。早年雅好吟咏，尤喜为词。被词人陈维崧誉为南宋后闺秀第一。有《拙政园诗馀》《拙政园诗集》。

徐灿·《蝶恋花》

蝶不恋花花恋蝶。

弃绿怜红，

不是他心劣。

一种深情情独切，

无情只爱同心结。

几缕春冰吹渐裂。

谢得东风，

肯送归舟叶。

日夜随郎从未别，

何须去共吴门月。

The butterfly does not love the flowers, though the flowers love the butterfly;

It leaves the green for the red,

But not because its heart is cruel.

There is a deep feeling that runs uniquely keen;

It loves nothing but for kindred hearts to be tied.

A few lines of spring ice gradually crack in the breeze;

I must thank the east wind,

For consenting to dispatch the homing boat.

Day and night I have followed you, never once parted;

Did you have to leave for the Suzhou moon?
