Driving wind and fine rain make for a chill spring.

A wine cup before me,

I remember our past love.

Once, clutching pear flowers in hand,

I shed streams of tears in the gloomy stillness.

Fragrant grasses and patches of mist on the road to South Bank;

With tears of parting in my eyes,

I gaze at the azure hills.

Last night I dreamt that I followed him

Through waters and mists,

Silent, without a word.

When I woke I could not control

My sorrow, deep as before.

Tossing and turning in my quilt I am vexed to no end.

It's simple enough to watch the sky,

Hard to catch a glimpse of him.
