13. Blabbermouth

 blabbermouth 鸡婆，长舌妇，多嘴的人，爱喧哗、吵闹的人

Blabbermouth 1936年始见于英文文献，此字仅有名词形态，男女兼用，作“吵闹的人”解时，其同义形容词是rowdy(吵闹的)， unruly (任性的，难以管束的)。blabbermouth 虽有损人之意，但语气并不粗俗，正式社交场所应可使用。

Blabbermouth 用以——责备，损人

我没有跟你讲过我调任的事，你怎么会知道的?

B. The whole office knows… Jack，in Personnel…

办公室里的人都知道了，……人事部的杰克……

1. Miller 耶路撒冷市副市长米乐认为，因本年在英国主办的Eurovision (欧洲电视)歌唱比赛的冠军是一位以色列变性者，极为伤风败俗，故坚决反对耶市主办明年的比赛(照惯例，次年比赛由冠军得主的国家主办)。

Blabbermouth 吵闹的人

1. in the old days 借“在古老的日子里”作“从前”解。

2. the ol’ evil eye ol’是old字的简化，在此处仅加强语气，不作“老”解。evil eye凶猛的目光，白眼。
