9. Men dominated their women

Once in a party for officers and their wives in the army, the commander-in-chief wanted to prove to his friends how manly his officers were. After the wives were invited to the dining hall, the officers were asked to stay, the commander-in-chief ordered, "Attention! I want you to make two lines. One line for the men that dominate their women in the families and the other line for the men that are whipped2 by their women in the families."

Sure there were a big mess around, but soon the well-trained officers stepped away to form two lines. The line of the men that were whipped by women was 100 meters long, and in the line of men that dominated their women, there was only one officer.

The commander-in-chief got mad and said, "You should be ashamed of yourselves. How can you be all whipped by mates? Look at the only one of my sons that stood up and make me proud. Learn from him! Tell them my son, how did you manage to be the only one in this line?"

The replied was, "I don't know, my wife motioned me to stand here."

一次，在部队为军官及其太太们举办的聚会上，总司令想向他的朋友证明自己的军官多么有男子气概。于是在太太们被邀请去了餐厅以后，军官们被留了下来。总司令命令道：“立正！我要你们站成两队，在家里主宰女人的站成一队，在家里被女人管制的站到另一队。”

当然现场有些混乱，但训练有素的军官们很快站好形成了队列。被女人主宰的队伍有100米长，而主宰女人的那队仅有一人。

总司令大为恼火，说道：“你们应该感到羞耻，你们怎么能被女人主宰？看看，只有我唯一的孩子站在这边，这使我感到骄傲。你们应该向他学习。告诉他们，我的孩子，你是如何成为唯一站在这一队上的人的？”

回答是：“我不知道。我太太示意我站在这儿的！”
