A Bad Day

A police offlcer in a small town stopped a motorist who was speeding down Main Street．“But offlcer，”the man began，“I can explain．”

“Just be quiet，”snapped the officer．“I’m going to let you cool your heels in jail until the chief gets back．”

“But，officer，I just wanted to say...”

“And I said to keep quiet！You’re going to jail！”

A few hours later the officer looked in on his prisoner and said，“Lucky for you that the chief’s at his daughter’s wedding．He’ll be in a good mood when he gets back．”

“Don’t count on it，”answered the fellow in the cell．“I’m the groom．”

倒霉的一天

小镇上的一位警官拦下了一个摩托车手，因为他在主干道上超速行驶。“但是，警官，”那人辩解道，“我必须解释一下。”

“闭嘴，”警官不耐烦地说，“我准备让你在监狱里待上一段时间，直到局长回来。”

“但是，警官，我只是想说……”

“我告诉你，闭嘴！你必须进监狱！”

几个小时以后，警官来看他的这位囚犯，说道：“你的运气来了，我们局长正在参加他女儿的婚礼。他回来时一定会情绪很好。”

“别指望了，”牢房里的那家伙答道，“我是他女儿的新郞。”
