世卫启动全球新冠疫苗接种战略

The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Thursday an initiative to vaccinate 40% of the population of every country against COVID-19 by the end of 2021 and 70% by mid-2022, by prioritizing vaccine delivery to low-income countries, particularly those in Africa.

世界卫生组织10月7日宣布推出一项全球新冠疫苗接种战略，优先向低收入国家、特别是非洲国家提供疫苗，以实现到2021年年底为所有国家约40%的人口接种新冠疫苗、到2022年中期接种人口比例提升至70%的目标。

According to WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, achieving these targets will require at least 11 billion vaccine doses, which is an allocation problem instead of a supply problem.

世卫总干事谭德塞在新闻发布会上说，实现全球新冠疫苗接种战略目标将至少需要110亿剂疫苗，但问题不在于疫苗供应，而在于疫苗分配。

"With global vaccine production now at nearly 1.5 billion doses per month, there is enough supply to achieve our targets, provided they are distributed equitably," he said at a press briefing.

目前全球疫苗产量接近每月15亿剂，只要公平分配，就有足够的供应来实现这一目标。
