2500万人签名要求调查德特里克堡

An online petition for a thorough investigation of a biological laboratory at Fort Detrick in the US concluded on Friday, garnering 25 million signatures in just three weeks.

由一批中国网友委托《环球时报》发起的、要求彻底调查美国德特里克堡生物实验室的联署活动于8月7日零时结束，三周内共2500万人签名。

The petition, which a group of Chinese internet users drafted and entrusted the Global Times to post on social media, was launched on July 17 and received 500,000 signatures in 24 hours and 1 million in 48 hours.

该活动7月17日在社交媒体上启动后，24小时内即获50万人签名，48小时内签名人数就超过100万。

The investigation should look at the origins of COVID-19 as related to the Maryland laboratory as well as the laboratory's safety, the organizers said.
