A small plane crashed into a house in Dutchess County on Saturday, killing at least one of the three men on board, authorities said.

The crash also critically injured a woman who was in the home, which was destroyed in the raging blaze that followed, authorities said.

The pilot, who had taken off from Orange County airport, was planning to land at Sky Acres field in LaGrangeville, where he would refuel for a flight to Long Island’s Republic Airport, according to the Southwest Dutchess Daily Voice.
