故宫与腾讯合作 发布首张古画主题音乐专辑

The Palace Museum in Beijing has teamed up with Chinese internet giant Tencent to launch its first music album, which ties in with 11 of the most famous paintings in the museum's collection.

日前，北京故宫博物院联手国内互联网巨头腾讯推出其首张音乐专辑，这张专辑与11幅故宫院藏的传世名画有关。

Shan Jixiang, the curator of the museum, called the event "Ancient Paints Can Sing", "a wonderful hyperlink".

故宫博物院院长单霁翔称此次“古画会唱歌”活动是“一个奇妙的超级链接”。

In the collaboration, the museum presented 11 masterpieces, including, "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" by Zhang Zeduan and "An Ode to the Goddess of the Luo River" by Gu Kaizhi, as the inspiration.

故宫为此次合作提供了张择端的《清明上河图》、顾恺之的《洛神赋图》等11幅名画作为灵感来源。

Tencent's musical arm invited public contributions of original music to accompany the paintings, while the museum's scholars provided the literary background of the paintings to participants. Veteran musicians helped select the best musical creations.

腾讯旗下音乐子公司邀请公众创作匹配这些名画的原创音乐，故宫博物院的学者帮参赛选手了解画作的文学背景，资深音乐人则帮忙选出最佳音乐作品。

The museum aims to further integrate new technologies into their collections to help make traditional culture more engaging, Shan said.

单霁翔称，故宫计划进一步将院藏藏品与新技术相融合，使传统文化更具吸引力。

The Palace Museum and Tencent formally established a partnership in July 2016 to promote the integration of traditional culture and digital creativity.

故宫博物院与腾讯集团于2016年7月正式建立合作伙伴关系，旨在推动传统文化与数字创意的结合。
