日本与欧盟签自贸协议 承诺取消99%关税

Japan and the European Union signed a landmark deal last Tuesday that will eliminate nearly all tariffs on products they trade.

上周二，日本和欧盟签署了一项具有里程碑意义的协议，将取消双方贸易产品近乎全部的关税。

The deal eliminates about 99% of the tariffs on Japanese goods sold to the EU.

该协议取消了日本销往欧盟商品约99%的关税。

Meanwhile, about 94% of the tariffs on European exports to Japan will be lifted, rising to 99% in the future.

同时，欧盟出口日本商品约94%的关税将被取消，这一数字未来将升至99%。

 

"The EU and Japan showed an undeterred determination to lead the world as flag-bearers for free trade," Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said at a joint news conference with European Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.

日本首相安倍晋三在与欧洲理事会主席唐纳德·图斯克及欧盟委员会主席让-克洛德·容克召开的联合新闻发布会上称：“欧盟和日本展现出作为自由贸易旗手引领全球坚定不移的决心。”

Tusk praised the deal as "the largest bilateral trade deal ever".

图斯克称赞该协议为“史上最大双边贸易协议”。

He said the partnership is being strengthened in various other areas, including defense, climate change and human exchanges, and is "sending a clear message" against protectionism.
