清华大学3D录取通知书走红网络

A 3D-printed version of a 2nd gate at TsinghuaUniversity is now appearing on the school's 2018 admission letter.

现在，清华大学3D打印版的“二校门”出现在了该校2018年的录取通知书上。

This art work, made by faculty and students atTsinghua, contains more than 30 components andover a hundred interlocking structures createdusing laser cutting technology.

这件工艺品由清华大学师生共同打造，包含了30多个部件和上百个通过激光雕刻技术制作的拼插结构。

As the candidate opens the package, the sculpture pops out from the page.

报考者打开录取通知书，3D二校门就会跃然纸上。

"To include a 3D sculpture of the Old Gate in the acceptance package," said the TsinghuaAdmission Office, "is to convey its elegance and solemnity throughout history, and also tocarry other meanings in the new era: inspiration and wisdom, youth and the future."

清华大学招生办表示：“将3D二校门放在录取通知书上既传递着历史的端庄与厚重，也承载着新时代中的另一番意味：灵感与智慧、青春与未来。”

 

The university posted the acceptance letter on their official Weibo account, captioned "Whenyou cross the Old Gate in August, a new world will emerge in front of you, and a brand-newTsinghua awaits your discovery and creation."

清华大学将该录取通知书贴在了其官方微博上，并写道：“当你在盛夏八月穿过这座'二校门'，一个全新的世界将在你面前徐徐铺开，一个崭新的清华将等待你探索与创造。”

The Old Gate, therefore, is no longer just a gate; but a turning point, a milestone, and thebeginning of adult life for these new undergraduates.

因此，二校门不再仅仅是一扇门;还是一个转折点，一座里程碑，也是这些大学新生的成年生活的开始。
