中国法院查封贾跃亭资产
中国一家法院查封了乐视(LeEco)创始人贾跃亭的已知资产。中国当局步步逼近了这位往日的技术巨头。仅仅一年之前，贾跃亭还希望与硅谷一些大牌公司展开角逐。
The Beijing First Intermediate People’s Court said it had seized millions of dollars worth of shares in Shenzhen-listed LeEco subsidiary Leshi Internet Information & Technology, two homes in Beijing and about Rmb1.3m ($200,000) from a bank account, enforcing a petition filed by Fujian province-based Huafu Securities.
北京第一中级人民法院表示，其已查封了贾跃亭在深市上市企业乐视网所持的价值数百万美元的股份，查封了他位于北京的两处房产，从其一个银行账户划扣了约130万元人民币(合20万美元)，强制执行了福建华福证券提起的一项申请。
The securities house had sought to recover more than Rmb200m from Mr Jia. But the December 19 ruling, posted to the Beijing court’s website several days later, said the businessman had no other bank accounts, houses or cars to seize.
这家券商还曾寻求从贾跃亭手中收回逾2亿元人民币的欠款。但几天后上传至北京这家法院网站的12月19日出具的裁定书表示，这位商人名下已无其他可供执行的银行存款、房产或车辆。
The Beijing branch of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the country’s securities watchdog, this week ordered Mr Jia to return to China by December 31 to deal with the financial stress building behind his fissuring technology and entertainment empire.
本周，中国证监会北京证监局责令贾跃亭在12月31日前回国，处置他旗下出现裂痕的技术与娱乐集团的财务危机。
The LeEco conglomerate, which started as an online video platform, has come to include smartphones, ride-hailing applications, real estate, sports entertainment and electric cars.

While rapidly expanding the business in China, Mr Jia also set out on an acquisition binge, agreeing to buy US electronics company Vizio for $2bn last year and the rights to broadcast English Premier League games in China. He also backed the US electric car start-up Faraday Future as well as a self-driving car project based in San Francisco.

At its height, Mr Jia hoped LeEco would go head-to-head with US companies such as Netflix and Tesla.

But creditors and investors became concerned over the viability of the company last November when Mr Jia told employees that LeEco’s rapid expansion had burnt through cash too quickly. The deal for Vizio has since collapsed and Mr Jia resigned as chairman of LeEco in July as creditors closed in on the group.

Chinese suppliers for LeEco have told the Financial Times they are still awaiting payment for orders made nearly two years ago.

Tianjin-based property conglomerate Sunac China has stepped in to provide more than $2.4bn in emergency funding to LeEco. Sunac chairman Sun Hongbin became LeEco’s chairman earlier this year.

Mr Jia’s personal troubles have escalated in recent weeks. This month he was put on China’s national blacklist of “discredited” people, a system enforced by the Supreme Court that can penalise the worst-offending serial debtors with punishment such as travel bans.

LeEco has not responded to repeated requests for comment on the matters concerning its founder. Attempts to contact Mr Jia, whose whereabouts are unknown, have been unsuccessful.
