Pretty much since the moment BBC's hit mysteryseries Sherlock teased that Sherlock Holmes(Benedict Cumberbatch) and Mycroft Holmes (MarkGatiss) might have a brother named Sherrinford,fans have speculated that Tom Hiddleston could playthe missing sibling.

自从BBC的热播悬疑剧《神探夏洛克》开玩笑说SherlockHolmes(Benedict Cumberbatch)和MycroftHolmes(Mark Gatiss)可能有一个名叫Sherrinford的兄弟，粉丝们就猜测汤姆·希德勒斯顿可能会扮演这个失踪的兄弟。

Where did the rumor come from? Mostly the internet's intense desire to have their twoboyfriends -- and real life friends -- Hiddleston and Cumberbatch pair up together, and wherebetter than in Cumberbatch's signature series?

Sherrinford has been mentioned in the currently running, uber-secret fourth season ofSherlock, though fans are split as to whether the name is even a reference to a brother, asister, or a place.
