Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived：Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left.Except for Love.
Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.
When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.
Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said，“Richness, can you take me with you?”
Richness answered，“No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat.There is no place here for you.”
Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel.“Vanity, please help me！”
“I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat，”Vanity answered.
Sadness was close by, so Love asked，“Sadness, let me go with you.”
“Oh……Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself！”
Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her.
Suddenly, there was a voice，“Come, Love, I will take you.”
It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going.When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way.Realizing how much was owed the elder, Love asked Knowledge, another elder，“Who helped me?”
“It was Time，”Knowledge answered.
“Time?”asked Love.“But why did Time help me?”
Knowledge smiled and answered，“Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is.”
从前有一座小岛，岛上居住着各种各样的情感：快乐、伤心、智慧和其他所有的情感，包括爱。有一天，情感们听说小岛要沉没了，除了爱，其他的情感都乘船离开了小岛。
只有爱没有离开，它要坚持到最后一刻。
小岛就要沉没了，爱决定求救。
财富大哥乘一只豪华船从爱的身旁经过。爱说：“财富大哥，救救我，带我走吧。”
财富大哥答道：“不好意思，船上放着很多金银财宝，没有你坐的地方。”
这时虚荣大姐乘一只漂亮的船从爱的身旁经过，爱决定向虚荣大姐求救：“虚荣大姐，请帮个忙吧。”
“我帮不了你，爱小妹，你浑身湿漉漉的，会把我的船弄坏的。”虚荣大姐答道。
当伤心大哥经过爱身旁时，爱又求救：“伤心大哥，让我跟你走吧。”
“哦，爱小妹，我心情不好，想一个人静静。”
快乐大姐从爱身旁经过，可是她太高兴了，压根儿就没听见爱小妹的求救声。
突然，从远处传来一个声音：“嗨，爱小妹，我带你走。”
这是一位长者。爱小妹太激动太高兴了，她甚至没有问长者会带她去哪里就上船了。到岸后，长者什么也没说就走了。爱小妹非常感激这位长者。爱小妹问智慧爷爷：“是谁帮助了我？”
“是时间。”智慧爷爷答道。
“时间？”爱小妹疑惑不解，“时间为什么要帮我呢？”
智慧爷爷笑着说：“因为只有时间才能理解爱是多么重要。”
