On the second weekend of February, tourists flock to the Mimosa Festival to enjoy the themed parade and to collect bouquets of mimosa flowers to present to their loved ones on International Women's Day (March 8).

The Golfo Paradiso Bay area has great food. And one of the region's most classic dishes, trofie pasta, started here in Sori Village. Trofie is made from flour and water, which are then hand-rolled into small, irregular spiral shapes. You will find trofie on most menus in the area's restaurants. They are usually served with fresh pesto, green beans and boiled potatoes.

Recco Village

Recco village can be considered as the culinary capital of Golfo Paradiso. Recco is the birthplace of two specialties in Liguria. The first dish, focaccia con il formaggio di Recco, is a thin bread with cheese and stracchino. Usually served on a giant circular wooden platter, it's very delicious. But make sure to make room for the second specialty, pansoti. This noodle dish resembles ravioli, but it is smaller and has no meat. It is filled with cheese and often topped with a delicious walnut sauce.

Camogli is located right in the heart of the Golfo Paradiso Bay, Italy, which is often overshadowed by its extremely famous neighbors: The Cinque Terre.

Camogli is famous for its freshly caught fish (especially anchovies), Regal sailing boats and brightly painted houses.

Camogli also hosts two interesting annual events. The first is the Sagra del Pesce ("Feast of Fish"), a giant fish fry that takes place annually on the second Sunday of March, where locals and tourists gather around a giant frying pan to enjoy some of the freshest seafood on the Italian Riviera.

The event begins with a cannon in the morning, announcing the departure of the Dragun (a famous pirate ship). The boats return to the mainland after sunset. In a stunning background, the locals light up the dark waters for sailors by placing hundreds of glowing lanterns on the water.
