Castellfollit de la Roca looks like a village that used to be of normal shape, then, thanks to some strange force, spread over a system of basalt rocks. The houses were pushed precariously near the edge of a narrow basalt strip, some of which were only two houses wide, up to 50 meters high, a kilometer long, and curled along cliffs overlooking the countryside and the river runs along the town below.

This small village is bordered by the confluence of the Fluvià and Toronell rivers, between which a spectacular basalt cliff. With an area of ​​less than 1 square kilometer, Castellfollit de la Roca is one of the smallest villages in Spain.

Famous as the Pont Trencat, the Broken Bridge has been destroyed since its construction in 1908.
