What is the best answer to: "Why me?"

Sunny Gupta

Arthur Ashe, the legendary tennis player who once held the no 1 rank and winner of several tournaments including Wimbledon, was dying of AIDS which he got due to infected blood he received during a heart surgery in 1983. From all over the world, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed:

“Why does GOD have to choose you for such a bad disease”?

To this Arthur Ashe replied:

The world over — 50 million children start playing tennis, 5 million learn to play tennis, 500,000 learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reach the grand slam, 50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to semi final, 2 to the finals. When I was holding the trophy I never asked GOD: “Why me?”. So today in pain, I should not be asking GOD:

Vishal Gurung

A frustrated software engineer in church shouts, "Why always me, God,why?".

A blind person just beside him assertively says, "Thank you God."

Engineer - "Why do you thank him, he made you blind, you can't see, any beautiful thing in life"

Blind person - "Can you? "...

Virali Modi

When I came out of my coma and I realized and understood what happened to me, I always asked myself that question, "Why me? What did I do to deserve this?" I asked myself this question for a couple of years until I found the answer.

There are many people on this earth that are less fortunate than me. I have clean drinking water, enough food, a roof over my head, and clothes on my back. I have a voice, a working brain, and I have all my senses intact. I have a loving and supporting family. I have no reason to complain. I shouldn't be complaining, I shouldn't be asking myself, "why me?"

I became wheelchair bound for a reason. That reason may be unknown, but for now, I believe I became a paraplegic to help people with my experiences. To motivate, inspire, and encourage them. I've always wanted to help people and I'm doing that. It's the best thing ever.

I have no reason to ask myself, "Why me?" Because I've found the answer.
