B: Are you okay, Ivy? You look worried.

B:你还好吗,艾薇?你看起来很担心。

A: Peter called last night and announced me that he would not be able to come to my party.

A:彼得昨晚打电话告诉我,他不能来参加我的聚会了。

B: Oh, that's too bad. Did he say why?

B:哦,太糟糕了。他说了为什么吗?

A: He said that he'd had a car accident the day before, and that he'd broken his arm.

A:他说他前一天出了车祸,胳膊骨折了。

B: Oh no, that's terrible, how could this happen?

B:哦不,那太糟糕了,怎么会这样?

A: He explained that he had been turning left at one intersection when another driver who had ignored the stop sign hit him, he said that his car had overturned and had been totaled.

B: This is really awful, he had just bought his car.

B: Even when he faces hardships, he always looks on the bright side of things.
