126　busy, be busy in, be busy with和be busy doing sth.

1　busy 用作形容词表示“忙，忙的”。

The farmers are very busy in autumn. 秋天农民很忙。

Are you busy now? 你现在忙吗？

2　be busy in 和be busy with 均表示“忙于……”，但其后接的词不同：

（1） be busy in+动名词，in可省略，为be busy (in) doing sth.

We are busy (in) getting ready for the final exam. 我们都忙着准备期末考试。

She was busy looking after her little sister. 她正忙着照看小妹妹。

（2）be busy with+名词

The students are all busy with their lessons. 学生们都在忙功课。

He is busy with his work from morning till night. 他从早到晚忙着工作。

①不可说be busy to do sth.。

She is busy studying . （正）她正忙着学习。

She is busy with her study . （正）

She is busy to study . （误）

② busy构成的短语还有：busy over+名词，busy oneself in/with doing （使自己忙于……）。

They are busy over the arrangement. 他们正忙着安排事宜。

He busied himself in/with answering letters. 他忙着回复信件。
