第四十五课 金鹰的巢
Almost all the people in the parish were leading in their meadow-hay on the same day of midsummer, so drying was the sunshine and the wind;
几乎在这个街区的所有人都在仲夏的同一天晒他们的干草，阳光和风是如此的干燥；
and huge heaped-up wains, that almost hid from view the horses that drew them along the sward beginning to get green with second growth,

were moving in all directions toward the snug farm-yards.

Never before had the parish seemed so populous.

But the trees threw the shadow of "one o'clock" on the green dial-face of the earth;

the horses were unyoked, and took instantly to grazing;

groups of men, women, and children collected under grove, and bush, and hedge-row;

and the great Being, who gave them that day their daily bread, looked down from his eternal home on many a thankful heart.

The great golden eagle, the pride and the pest of the parish, stooped down, and flew away with something in its talons.
大金雕，是这个街区的骄傲，也是这里的害鸟，它俯冲下来，飞走时爪子里抓着某些东西。
One single, sudden, female shriek arose; and then shouts and outcries,
突然，一只单飞的雌鹰尖叫起来；
as if a church spire had tumbled down on a congregation at service.
它喊叫、大声疾呼，好像教堂尖顶砸到了教会中祷告的会众。
