The World Health Organization has warned countries in the north Hemisphere that they need to do far more to combat the coronavirus over the coming winter. Dr. Mike Ryan, the head of the WHO's Emergencies Program, said that the disease wasn't going away.

The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said the country is now seeing a second wave of Covid-19. But the government still wants to avoid another full-scale lockdown. The estimated daily increase in new cases in Britain has doubled within a month.
