Saudi Arabia and Russia have decided to end their oil price war by agreeing to make the biggest production cuts in history. The deal they agreed with other oil producers removed around 1/10 of global oil supply. Since early March, oil price has plunged to their lowest level in nearly two decades, because of falling demands due to coronavirus.

The British prime minister Boris Johnson is recuperating after spending a week in hospital suffering from Covid-19. He is not expected to fully return to work for weeks. In a video message, Mr. Johnson paid tribute to the national health service for saving his life.
