A novel, "novel," is a fictional book — a book that is not a true story. 小说(novel)是虚构类书籍——不是在讲真实故事的书籍。

Trash, "trash," is anything that you are getting rid of — that you are throwing out — that you don't want anymore, 垃圾(trash)是任何你想处理掉的东西——你要扔掉的东西——你不再想要的东西，

and trash day is the day that the garbage trucks come by and take the trash away. 垃圾日就是垃圾车过来把垃圾运走的日子。
