Fragrant And Toxic Y:What's that smell? D:We'll talking about a study on smell? Y:No,I smell something like perfume or airfresher. D:Oh!You’ve probably smelled a fragrant candle light there before we got start it. The scent is called green dragon.I have no idea what that means,but I kind don't like it. Y:Well,you can have to put it out. D:Why?The year got so stuffy and stay of the studio I thought it would be nice to light up things a little. Y:But that's just it,Don,there’s no ventilation in here and the fumes comming from that candle are toxic. D:What are you talking about? Y:Most fragrant wax candles are made from paraffin, which is a by product of petroleum. According to one study, burning paraffin candles emits toxins–a little like burning gasoline indoors. D:Hold on.You are saying that my little sady candle is poisoning us? Y:No. Burning a paraffin candle once in a while is OK because it’s only emitting a small amount of toxins. But it still pollutes the air. It’s when you light a lot of candles all the time that you run into bigger problems that can make you sick. So if you’re really into candles, it’s better to use ones made from soy beeswax. D:Fine.So,do I still need o put out the candle? Y:Pretty please. D:No problem.
