英语时差:谈谈冰淇淋
Amanda: You know Mike, it's hot and sunny today, the perfect weather for ice cream. I'm glad we decided to try out this new ice cream parlor. I've been craving ice cream ever since I heard that it serves the best, most delicious desserts in the area.
Mike: Yeah, I'm really in the mood for ice cream, too. Judging by the display counter, they seem to have a lot of ice cream varieties available. Let's hurry up and order. What flavor do you want?
Amanda: I think I'll stick to a scoop of classic vanilla, unless you want to share a banana split with me instead. I love banana split, but I can't finish the whole thing.
Mike: Vanilla has got to be the most boring flavor ever－it's so bland! You really should try something new, Amanda. Count me out for the banana split. I think I'll go for a triple scoop of chocolate surprise in a waffle cone.
Amanda: Mike, I can't believe you got a triple scoop! I'm sure it's going to be sickeningly sweet, and you'll just end up wasting it.
Mike: It may be sweet, but I'm sure it's definitely not as sweet as the rich chocolate cakes and cookies that you bake, Amanda!
