36 THE MIRROR	三十六镜子

Between the woods the afternoon	午后的时光落到林间，
Is fallen in a golden swoon,	带来一团金色的晕眩，
The sun looks down from quiet skies	太阳从静静的天空俯瞰
To where a quiet water lies,	下面静静的湖水一片，
And silent trees stoop down to trees.	沉默的树向树鞠躬。
And there I saw a white swan make	我看见一只白天鹅在湖上
Another white swan in the lake;	引出另一只结伴成双;
And, breast to breast, both motionless,	胸膛挨胸膛，不动也不语，
They waited for the wind's caress	他俩等待着风的爱抚……
And all the water was at ease.	这片水多自在轻松!
