海神波塞冬
波塞冬(Poseidon)是希腊神话中的主神之一，又名涅普顿(Neptune)，是天神宙斯的哥哥，地位也仅次于他，是掌管海洋的最高神仙，拥有强大的法力。
波塞冬(Poseidon)是克洛诺斯与瑞亚之子，宙斯之兄，地位仅次于宙斯，曾爱过美杜莎。是希腊神话中的十二主神之一。与提坦神(泰坦)的提坦之战(Titanomachy)结束之后，波塞冬成为伟大而威严的海王，掌管环绕大陆的所有水域。他用令人战栗的地动山摇来统治他的王国。他有呼风之术，并且能够掀起或是平息狂暴 的大海。手持三叉戟，他坐在铜蹄金髦马驾的车里掠过海浪。尽管他在奥林匹斯山有一席之地，但是大部分时间他都住在海洋深处他的灿烂夺目的金色宫殿里。
波塞冬经常手持三叉戟，这成了他的标志。当他愤怒时海底就会出现怪物，他挥动三叉戟就能引起海啸和地震，但象征他的圣兽海豚则显示出海的宁静和波塞冬亲切的神性。爱琴海附近的希腊海员和渔民对他极为的崇拜。
波塞冬的三叉戟并非只用来当武器，它也被用来击碎岩石，从裂缝中流出的清泉浇灌大地，使农民五谷丰登，所以波塞冬又被称为丰收神。波塞冬也给予了人类第一匹马，他乘座的战车就是用金色的战马所拉的，当他的战车在大海上奔驰时，波浪会变的平静，并且周围有海豚跟随。
他的罗马名字是涅普顿(Neptune)，八大行星中的海王星。他与宙斯一同战胜了父亲克洛斯之后，一同分割世界，他负责掌管海洋，以三叉戟主宰水域，在水上拥有无上的权威，是大地的动摇者。他能呼唤或平息暴风雨，轻易地令任何船只粉碎。波塞冬曾经与雅典娜争夺雅典，可惜最后还是败给雅典娜。一怒之下，他曾经用洪水淹没雅典。在争夺雅典时，他变出第一匹马，所以他也是马匹的保护神。神话中的波塞冬的神性广泛，有强烈的侵略性和极大的野心，时刻想夺取宙斯天帝的宝座，但被宙斯发觉，把他放逐到地上受刑，帮助劳梅顿王修建特洛伊城。此外他还常与诸神交战，在雅典和特罗森城就有过他和雅典娜的争霸战。
