Captain Stevens: Right, right...

Captain Stevens: Ok, that's good.

Christina: And I signed up for a NALSAR course. Next thing you know, I'll be moving to India to find myself.

Max Denoff: I'm late for an asshole festival. I hear you are headlining.

Captain Stevens: Oh that's funny. Who are you, a comedian?

Christina: Yeah, he is a comedian.

Max Denoff: Sit down, freak. Fans...

Christina: That’s the guy. He came in 3rd on America's Got Talent. Got sided twice for DUI. We talked about him.

Captain Stevens: Thank you, ma'am, thank you.

Christina: You are welcome.

Broadcasting: Glenbrook station.

Man making call: Yeah, but at 1 o'clock the bridge is gonna be jammed.

Kid: Damn it!

Captain Stevens: The explosion came from behind me.

Max Denoff: So which is it, security breach or precautionary measure?

Captain Stevens: Sir! Sir. Is there a problem here, Sir?

Christina: Shawn?

Captain Stevens: I need you to turn that off. Why don't you show me that ID again?

Christina: Shawn!

2001年阿富汗战争

2001年阿富汗战争是以美国为首的联军在10月7日起对阿富汗基地组织和塔利班的一场战争，同时标志世界反恐战争的开始。与阿富汗作战的国家主要 有美国以及英国、德国、波兰、捷克、斯洛伐克等北约国家，哈萨克斯坦、日本、韩国、菲律宾等国为美军提供了后勤支援并在战后派遣军队驻扎阿富汗（驻阿韩军 在2007年发生韩国人质被绑架事件后撤离阿富汗）。

当美国总统布什向世界宣布美军要在阿富汗打一场样式很特殊的反恐怖战争，以彻底消灭制造九一一事件的幕后黑手及其同盟者塔利班武装之时，有眼光的战 略家们都认为美国无疑会赢得这场战争。但是自10月7日美军开打以后，特别是反塔联盟在战争中发挥的作用，使世人愈感到始料不及，战争一次又一次地出现戏 剧性变化，许多分析家们的预测都跟不上形势的发展。

2001年阿富汗战争是美国对九一一事件的报复。联军官方指这场战争的目的是逮捕本·拉登等盖达成员并惩罚塔利班对恐怖分子的支援。到2010年为止，目前阿富汗驻军人数最多的国家依序是，10万美军、1万英军、4300德军和3750法军。

为彻底铲除恐怖势力，仅仅远距离打击是根本不够的，还必须派遣地面部队进入阿富汗，一个城市、一个村庄地清剿恐怖分子，并联合阿富汗各派和平政治力量，组建阿富汗新政府，使之彻底摆脱恐怖势力。这就决定了在远距离打击阶段完成后，美军必须迅速转入近距离清剿塔利班的阶段。

人们受制于美军在远距离打击时所表现出来的巨大威力，普遍认为在地面战争中，美军将风卷残云地迅速完成清剿恐怖势力的任务，拉登等恐怖组织的头子将被一一抓获，像二战战犯那样接受正义的审判。 　　

现实的变化总是超出人们的想象。正当国际社会准备为美军的胜利喝彩时，战争出现了拐点。躲进山区和乡村的塔利班没有被彻底消灭，连美国人竭力想抓获的拉登也神龙见首不见尾，安然指挥着对多国的恐怖袭击。直到2011年5月19日，美国才在巴基斯坦将本拉登击毙。

近几年，由于阿富汗政府本身的问题，使西方的巨大投入付诸东流，不仅未能把阿社会引向正轨，而且在恐怖势力面前节节败退，控制的国土不断缩小，总统被戏称为喀布尔市长。相反，塔利班势力则从最初的打击中恢复，控制了大部分国土，并转入巴基斯坦北部，大有东山再起之势。

面对这一形势，阿富汗政府几年前就提出与塔利班和解，但美国不同意，战争因此陷入僵持局面。去年底，在战争进行了整8年之后，奥巴马为打破僵局，及 早脱身，决定增兵对塔利班进行更大规模的军事行动。到阿富汗问题国际会议召开前，美国总算开始简化自己的战争目标了，承认塔利班是阿富汗政治结构的组成部 分，同意阿富汗政府说服部分武装人员放下武器。但是，阿富汗塔利班却不打算和解，这使得美国尽快结束战争的打算成为空想。（来源：百度百科）
