I love you, Margaret, but this is my life. I'll decide what to do with it. You're lucky to my sister for your wife, Lowell. I know you'll be good to her. I'll be watching very closely. There is no prince, Aunt Imogen. You need to talk to somebody about these delusions. I happen to like rabbits, especially white ones. Do not worry, Mother. I'll find something useful to do with my life. You two remind me of some funny boys I met in a dream.

Hamish's father: You've left me out.

Alice: No, I haven't, sir. You and I have business to discuss.

Hamish's father: Shall we speak... in the study?

Alice: Oh, and one more thing. My father told me he wanted to expand his trade routes to Sumatra and Borneo. But I don't not think he was looking far enough. Why not go all the way to China? It's vast, the culture's rich and we have a foothold in Hong Kong. To be the first to trade with China, Can you imagine it?

Hamish's father: You know, if somebody had said that to me, I'd have said you've lost your senses. But I've seen that look before. As you're not going to be my daughter in law, perhaps you'd consider becoming an apprentice with the company.

       《阿凡达》、《花木兰》、《功夫熊猫》、《2012》，再到这次热映的《爱丽丝漫游仙境》，中国元素可谓抢尽风头。

中国元素抢尽风头

虽然影片一开始，爱丽丝的父亲很有野心把自己的生意发展到亚洲的很多国家，但是在结尾处，年仅19岁的爱丽丝却建议父亲的拍档把生意做到中国去。影片的最后一个镜头就是爱丽丝拒绝了贵族青年的求婚，只身一人登上了驶往中国的大船。这一点让全场所有的观众都兴奋不已，有次一位记者还在散场的时候听到有小朋友一直在问家长，为什么是中国？

迪斯尼相关负责人表示，原本小说的结尾并没有提到中国，是导演和编剧要进行如此的修改。虽然这并不代表影片的续集就会发生在中国，却多少体现出导演对中国的偏爱。“自从《阿凡达》在中国取得了2亿美元的票房后，好莱坞对中国市场的潜力大为惊讶。

越来越多的国外大片挖掘东方文化，把带有“中国元素”的镜头搬上世界银幕。《2012》中，地球几乎被电脑特技毁于一旦，小部分人类最终聚集到中国乘上了“逃生方舟”，在好莱坞灾难大片里，中国首次成了重要的“救赎之地”。影片不乏中国场景、中国演员、中文对白，令《2012》在中国影迷之中引发热议。“赶快备一张中国地图”这虽是一句玩笑话，却从中折射出中国元素在这部灾难大片中的重要地位。片中，各国政府得知灾难来临，悄悄在中国修建方舟。“党和国家一定会帮助大家重建家园”、“欢迎来到中华人民共和国”等台词，以及俄罗斯富翁感慨“将大船交给中国来建果然是正确的”等影片内容，令中国观众甚为兴奋，影片的高潮部分也在中国的大坝上完成。

好莱坞梦工厂动画片力作《功夫熊猫》全球上映后，票房大卖。这位“肥过史莱克，懒过加菲猫，可爱超七仔”的熊猫阿宝凭着一席中国功夫热卷全球，从片名便可读出其中国味儿：功夫——中国国粹，熊猫——中国国宝。视觉上，《功夫熊猫》背景均以风格浓郁的中国水墨画风格呈现，画面清新自然，颇有几分写意特质。其画面中的山水建筑，十分讲究。片中重要场景“玉皇宫”与“和平谷”代表了中国宫殿建筑与山水风光两种景观。玉皇宫的建筑风格全面复古，飞檐斗拱、红墙绿瓦，展现中国宫殿式庙宇的气派。山清水秀的和平谷，则有点类似武当山，因为那里同样住着一群武林高手，而其场景设计则参考了中国丽江的山谷和桂林的山水。整个画面既传统又唯美。

主角熊猫——中国国宝，在地位上，是中国最有重量级的动物。制作者保留了熊猫本身的外在特性，笨拙、憨态可掬，不仅如此还赋予片中主人公嘴馋的个性，使熊猫形象更加可笑。而这样一只“国宝”，最后居然成了“神龙勇士”，这个戏剧性的结果，无疑会勾起观众的无限好奇，成为片中最吸引人的看点。

中国题材已成为这些年好莱坞电影的一个热点。好莱坞电影正逐步崇尚中国元素。这与中国的巨大商机和浓厚的文化背景、文学素材密不可分。中国文化在西方电影中，经常带着古老神秘的气质，民乐、熏香、凤眼美人、中国功夫，是东方文化在西方影片里始终不能摆脱的符号化形象。
