提出邀请
虽然是非正式的午餐，事先还是要向客人提出邀请，问客人爱吃什么，什么时间方便就餐。

点菜时要询问客人的喜好和禁忌，避免点那些容易溅汁的食物（messy foods）。不要以为所有的外宾都喜欢西餐，如果能介绍一些他们不熟悉的美味也是一个很好的选择。不过要事先告诉他们菜的成分，如果他们面露不悦，就不要勉强。点菜时不能犹犹豫豫，反复改动。此外，应当避免喝太多酒（excessive drinking）。因为午餐还是在谈生意的过程中。
