cash cow这个习语起源于上世纪60年代，当时农民可以靠卖牛奶挣很多，因为有了奶牛以后，农民可以定期地通过挤牛奶挣钱，收入来源稳定，所以奶牛就是农民的“摇钱树”。久而久之，这个词也就有了“摇钱树，赢利部门”的含义。
