Fred 32岁了，还是单身。

One day a friend asked, "Why aren't you married? Can't you find a woman who will be a good wife?"

一天一个朋友问，“为什么你不结婚?你找不到一个能成为好妻子的女人吗?”

Fred replied, "Actually, I've found many women that I have wanted to marry, but when I bring them home to meet my parents, my mother doesn't like them."

Fred回答说，“其实，我找到了很多我想结婚的女人，但是我把她们带回家见父母时，我妈妈不喜欢她们。”

His friend thinks for a moment and says, "I've got the perfect solution, just find a girl who's just like your mother."

他朋友想了一会，然后说，“我有一个好办法，你就找一个像你妈妈的人不就行了。”

A few months later they meet again and his friend says, "Did you find the perfect girl? Did your mother like her?"

几个月过后，他们由见面了，他的朋友问，“你找到你的完美女孩了吗?你妈妈喜欢她吗?”

With a frown on his face, Fred answers, "Yes, I found the perfect girl. She was just like my mother. You were right, my mother liked her very much."

眉头紧蹙，Fred答道，“恩，我找到了完美女孩，她就像我妈妈一样。你说的对，我妈妈很喜欢她。”

The friend said, "Then what's the problem?"

朋友问，“那又是什么问题，你们没在一起呢?”

Fred replied, "My father doesn't like her."

Fred 回答说，“我爸爸不喜欢她。”
